  • Chris Smith

    Managing Director

    MD Chris Smith looks after investment, budgeting and business development, keeping prices fair and ensuring that all four parts of Pendle Engineering’s QSVP vision are delivered through strategy.

    The mixture of great people and variety of work helps to keep Chris happy in his role. He loves the fact that every day is different to the next and how Pendle's team of highly skilled staff ensures all customers are catered for.

    Outside of work Chris can be found playing golf or getting his walking boots on and venturing into the beautiful Lancashire countryside with his wife, Isobel.

  • Steven Smith

    Infrastructure Director

    Steven works hard to make sure the factory runs smoothly and efficiently at all times. He co-ordinates machine maintenance, both planned and unplanned, so customer's have their projects completed on time and to the highest standard. When he's not doing that, he constantly strives to improve the manufacturing process for Pendle Engineering.

    He's worked for the company over the past thirty years, seeing it grow into what it is today and loves how we place emphasis on developing and producing top quality products.

    Outside of work Steven is an outdoor kind of guy, getting involved in walking and cycling wherever he can. He also likes to spend quality time with his family.

     

     

  • Chris Price

    Production Manager

    Production manager Chris encompasses all areas of production in his role, alongside working closely with customers to ensure they receive the best service possible. His continued drive and development has shown him climb from apprentice to his current role.

    Chris’ favourite thing about working for Pendle Engineering is the close knit feel and the level of expertise on board. He sees the thriving company to be challenging, rewarding and expanding.

    In his free time you’ll find him playing, or watching sports, or socialising with his friends and family.

  • Isobel Smith

    HR Manager

    Following a successful career in education, Isobel joined Pendle Engineering as HR Manager in 2019. Having worked in senior leadership positions within schools, Isobel brings a wealth of experience that will strengthen the People Function and contribute to the successful delivery of the Company’s QSVP Objectives.

    Isobel is passionate about developing a workplace culture that allows employees to be recognised for the great work they do, whilst offering an environment of support and opportunity. Isobel’s ultimate aim as HR Manager, is to ensure that every employee reaches their potential and has a long and rewarding career at Pendle Engineering.

    Out of work, Isobel loves nothing more than taking her beloved German Pointer Ned for long walks in the countryside, watching a good box set with her husband Chris, or having some personal time out for a spot of yoga.

  • Martin Robson

    Technical Manager

    Martin works for the Design arm of the company, helping to take your idea from concept to reality. He is responsible for most of the company’s CAD/CAM work - including: the management and creation of drawings from customer supplied data, processing  data for CAM applications and doing in house design and drawing works.

    He loves the friendly atmosphere the growing company has still managed to maintain from early days as a family run business. Not afraid of hard work, Martin likes to get his teeth stuck in to the everyday challenges we face, producing high quality products for customers.

    Outside of work Martin is a bit of a fitness fanatic - cycling, running and walking are just a few of his hobbies. And when he wants to relax? You’ll find him indulging in computer games or watching motor sports.

  • Steve Clark

    Assistant Production Manager

    Working as Assistant Production Manager - Manufacturing, Steve forms a link between our Team Leaders and Production Manager Chris to make sure we meet our customer deadlines. Steve has built his career at Pendle Engineering since starting with us as an apprentice in 2003. He became one of our Team Leaders in 2013 before joining the management team in 2016.

    Steve enjoys the every day challenges that he faces in helping to manage the day-to-day running of the shop floor and our operatives.

    In his free time, you'll find him racing down a trail on his mountain bike or going on to Old Trafford to watch the Red Devils.

  • Neil Wilkinson

    Quality & Continual Improvement Manager

    As Quality & Continual Improvement Manager, Neil looks after all aspects of quality including: products, control and assurance. He's the guy who is responsible for maintaining our certifications for your projects - keeping us up-to-date with ISO 9001 and 1090.

    He loves the 'can do' attitude that Pendle Engineering staff have - specifically how they approach engineering solutions for customers. When asked to sum up what working for Pendle Engineering is like, Neil thinks the company is passionate about engineering.

    In his spare time you'll find Neil spending time with his family, getting stuck in with some amateur photography or keeping fit by fell and trail running.

  • Vicky Turner

    Assistant Commercial Manager - Purchasing

    Vicky Graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2011 with a 2.1 in Business Management and quickly found her feet in a role working for the Rugby Football League as their Registrations Manager. After moving back into the local area; and coming highly recommended, Vicky found her new challenge at Pendle Engineering as Purchasing Manager. Vicky’s main role is to control and manage purchasing across the entire business and take the lead on goods coming on to site. This not only allows the company to regulate orders through one channel but also assess the costs across the business.

    In her spare time Vicky enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
